Online Event to Highlight Best Practices in Multicast Webcasting

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., June 2, 2009 – Accordent Technologies tomorrow will present the first installation of its Accordent Expert Webcast Series featuring Intel’s Wayne Waterman, who will share tips and best practices on webcasting via multicast on one of the world’s largest corporate multicast webcasting platforms.

The webcast is designed for IT, video/webcasting and corporate communications professionals who are responsible for deploying and managing an enterprise-wide streaming communications system. Topics Waterman will cover in the webcast include:

• The must-have skill sets that should be represented on the webcasting team
• How to track usage for load balancing
• How to optimize content for minimal network impact

Additionally, Waterman will be on hand to take questions from the audience about their specific multicast concerns.

The webcast will be delivered using the Accordent rich media creation and management platform. The webinar will be published using Accordent PresenterPRO™, the company’s CDN-grade live webcasting solution, which will also be used to supporting a moderated question and answer session to enable Waterman to field questions from viewers. The audience will experience the webcast from their desktops via a custom-designed Accordent interface that includes live streaming video, synchronized with slides, and the ability to submit questions to the speaker during the event.

Viewers will register using the Accordent Media Management System™ (AMMS) and will receive confirmation and post-event notices via automatically generated, custom-branded HTML pages. During the live event, the AMMS will track and authenticate viewers – noting when each has logged on, when they leave and recording questions submitted to the speaker. In this way, event organizers will be able to use the AMMS viewer reports to understand and analyze the effectiveness of the webinar.
